Matched giving scheme
Does your workplace, or that of a spouse or family member, offer a matched giving scheme?* Some companies will give a donation similar to any money raised for charity by an employee. This often doubles any amount of money available for the charity.
Direct selling
Do you run a direct selling business? Or have a favourite home selling business with whom you could hold a party, with proceeds going to LLL? Popular products include children’s books, greetings cards, cosmetics and toys.*
Sponsored events
Do you have a group of enthusiastic mums local to you, maybe in your LLL group? A sponsored toddle or teddy bears’ picnic can raise substantial amounts. Grandparents often enjoy being asked to contribute to fundraising for a grandchild’s group.
Fundraising stalls
A stall at a local fete or baby fair can raise money and promote awareness of LLL. Cake stalls are always popular.* Teddy tombolas and bottle stalls also work well, especially if prizes are donated, ticket prices are low and a prize is offered every time. A rest area for mothers and young children with water, seating and a few toys can entice people to your stall.
Grant applications
Grant applications to ethical funding sources can generate large amounts of money. For organisational details often required for these application forms, please contact your local group Leader and/or LLLGB National Office.
Search engine
EveryClick is a fundraising website and charity search engine. Using this search engine raises money for La Leche League without costing you anything! See www.everyclick.com for more information.
