La Leche League Leaders are able to provide breastfeeding information and skilled support on the phone.
Before calling please consider checking our extensive list of online information articles which provide up to date information about a wide variety of breastfeeding topics covering: early days, breastfeeding challenges, health concerns, weaning and much more.
If you wish to receive breastfeeding support and information from a LLL Leader on the phone, you may choose one of the following options:
- Find your local LLL Leader directly. Please respect any contact notes regarding times and days. LLL Leaders are volunteers who take calls in their own homes.
- If there isn’t a Leader near you taking calls, you can call our National Helpline Callback Service on 0345 1202918 and leave us a message and one of our Callback Team will get in touch within 24 to 28 hours.
Calls to 03 numbers cost no more than calls to geographic (01 or 02) numbers and are usually included in your mobile or landline call package.
To help us support you better, please include:
- Your first name and number
- A quick summary of what you want help with
- Where you’re calling from
Our LLL Leaders are volunteers who fit calls around their own families and work. They may send you a text message to arrange a suitable time to call.
Please Note
Leaders have a wide knowledge and experience of breastfeeding but are not medically trained and cannot diagnose medical conditions. If you have a medical query, or concerns about your own health or your child’s health, please contact a health professional such as your midwife, health visitor, GP, NHS 111, or in an emergency call 999 or attend your nearest emergency department.
