I found the LLL Beginning Breastfeeding course really useful with my second baby. It was so helpful to have an idea of what to expect and to know that I could be confident in what I was doing from the beginning. It was also reassuring to have ongoing one-to-one and group support available when needed. My daughter was taken to the NICU for the first 2 weeks of her life. I expected to struggle to get a good milk supply, having struggled with my first. However, I followed the information given on the Beginning Breastfeeding course…..I couldn’t believe how much colostrum and milk I could produce! I was so chuffed, because it felt like I was really doing something to help my peerie lass. Thank you Charlotte!

Welcome to LLLGB’s most northerly group!

We meet monthly at the Shetland Library, and run regular online antenatal breastfeeding courses. Meetings are led by an accredited La Leche League Leader (breastfeeding counsellor)

Join us whatever age and stage you’re at, from bump to weaning. We welcome parents from all backgrounds and cultures, whatever breastfeeding looks like for your family. Come to ask questions, share your experiences or just hang out with other breastfeeding mums. You don’t have to have a problem to attend.
